Hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend and managed to dodge the rain!
We’ve had a busy, eventful, and surprisingly athletic week here in Pewsey. If you’ve missed any of the daily entries on the blog, here is a quick look at what’s been happening:
- Saturday 19th: Pewsey Carnival night arrives! Navigating procession floats, underwater clam costumes, a quiet curry escape, and keeping Moog safe from the fairground fireworks.
- Sunday 20th: Facing down the post-carnival silence with a high-altitude expedition up Mount Martinsell. Featuring unhelpful dogs, Zone 2 heart rate survival, and an urgent need for summit furniture.
- Monday 21st: Dealing with post-walk inertia, dodging household to-do lists, and embarking on a loft joist-testing heist involving forty years of family photo albums.
- Tuesday 22nd: A five-minute DIY door-stop job turns into a full tool-belt operation, complete with sheared screws, damaged skirting boards, and a revised tradesman’s motto.
- Wednesday 23rd: Intense table tennis upgrades, a sweat-drenched drive in the Cayenne, and the cold, hard reality of school yard football rivalries.
- Thursday 24th: A 6:30 AM flat-pack delivery, Karen’s sudden metamorphosis into a furniture-building Gladiator, and sweeping polystyrene beads under the rug just in time for the architect inspection.
- Friday 25th: The Carnival Bug baton-pass, slow-motion bomb-sweeper driving at the recycling centre, cinema canapés in Marlborough, and 40 hyperactive kids at table tennis league night.
