I live with my wife Karen in the beautiful Pewsey Vale, Wiltshire UK. This area is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which it certainly is. Pewsey has rolling chalk hills, the river Avon and the Kennet & Avon canal all within walking distance of the village centre.

My interests include reading, writing, coaching, cars, spending time with friends, hiking and table tennis.
I live an active life and I don’t do relax…at least not for long.
Before ‘The Covid’ struck Karen and I competed at Dog Agility and trained dogs and humans in this sport. We had 30+ years competing around the UK and internationally. I also spent 7 years as the International Team Manager of Dog Agility Team GB. In 2020 we decided to move on to the next chapter of our lives. We hung up our agility shoes and moved to Pewsey where Karen was bought up and a part of the country that I love.
In April 2025, I retired from full-time work and we moved into a house that needed renovating – my new project. After working full-time since the age of 17, adjusting to retired life was a new challenge. I like my routines and I like to be productive. However, I’m also enjoying the new found freedom.
I’ve been extremely fortunate in my life meeting some fascinating people who have inspired me, provided motivation and offered essential learning. I’m sure I’ll recall some of those lessons in future blogs.
I hope you enjoy my musings and ramblings and I will welcome your comments and thoughts as my blog develops.
