Daily writing prompt
When do you feel most productive?

I’m most productive in the morning before 8am and then again between 6-8pm. At these times I can whizz through work, eat-up todo lists, clear inboxes, and even write blogs!

We all have our unique productivity cycles that result in us having times when we’re more creative, times when we’re productive, times when we’re reflective and times when we need to switch off.

When I’m coaching people, one of the first exercises I ask them to do is to look back through their diary, work calendar, notes etc., to see what they’ve been doing at different times of the day over a three month period. That often indicates how they’ve used their time enabling them to reflect on whether that was the best time. From that we can intentionally organise days into the times that suit natural productivity rhythms.

Of course, you’ll need to do that exercise in your reflective time zone…
