I enjoy responding to the WordPress prompts of the day and they do exactly what they say – prompt me to write. However, the downside is that responding to the prompt instead of writing my own post is making me lazy.

I’ll continue to respond to the interesting prompt of the day, and make more effort to write my own material.

I’m starting a new blog to track the progress of our house renovation project. Getting the blog set up is as challenging as starting the actual project! I’ve had battles with WordPress themes, templates, blocks all the components used in modern web sites.

To be clear, my struggles haven’t been with WordPress – no, their tutorials and help pages are fantastic. My frustration is down to my own impatience to not take the time to methodically work through each step of the process.

Since retiring from full-time work, I’ve realised that I have the time to do ‘thing’s’ properly. This has made a huge difference to me. In fact, it’s the topic of a future blog post…not a big enough topic for a separate blog though!

My new blog site – Green Banks – is nearly ready to go live. My next challenge will be to provide a link from this blog. I’m sure there’s a WordPress video to watch for that too.
