One of the best decisions I made was to grab the opportunity to stand-in for a manager while he was on extended leave. I learnt a different role, developed new skills and started on a journey that would see my career take off.

My lesson I always pass on to others is:

Grab every opportunity that comes your way, you never know where it will take you. Don’t live with regret.
