On reflection, I haven’t said ‘no’ to things that would interfere with my goals, often enough in the past. ‘No’ is in my ‘try-not-to-use-vocabulary’.
‘No’ is a negative, conversation-stoping, drop-dead word that I try to keep for certain occasions; when I really, really mean it and I’ve explored all other options. I prefer to use a sentance that explains why I want to push-back.
‘No’ is a word like ‘hate’, a powerful, extreme word that there’s no coming back from.
I’ve used ‘that word’ five times already in this post! I have some making up to do!

I have a failing – although, others may say a strength – I like to consider all opportunities that come my way. This has gotten me into problems and has lead me to fantastic experiences.
I rarely say ‘that word’ instead, I would consider my options, find out more about what is going to interfere with my goals, toy with the idea of turning this interference into an opportunity, then probably say yes anyway!

Writing this has given me an idea for a future post, ‘the real meaning of words’. A few years ago I researched how our brains hear and de-code certain words, it’s a fascinating topic. I should dig out my research for a future post.
