I admit to not being a fan of meme’s or quotes you see on cushions and fridge magnets in garden centres…that’s another thing, why are they called garden centres when most of the stuff they sell is tacky rubbish that you know will last no longer than Liz Truss’s government or end up in a cupboard forogtten about forever. What a waste of resources.
Back to the corny meme’s, you know the type, ‘live life to the full’ – who purposely goes around saying, ‘Today, I’m purposely not going to live my life to the full’!
‘Live, love, laugh’ Der… isn’t that what we’d all like to do all of the time!
Occasionally I find a quote that’s clever, meaningful and insightful. Like these two I saw recently:
“You can’t change your past, but you can reframe it”.
“You can’t choose your history, but you can choose the story you tell about it.”
I don’t know who wrote them or the backstory, but as we embark on another house move and work through other changes that have happened in our lives recently these two quotes reasonated with me.
I do like collecting insightful quotes, in fact, I was doing some housekeeping on my files recently and found a few I’d forgotten about. I’ll drop them in randomly to future posts, see if you can spot them.
Do you have a favourite quote you’d like to share…no corny ones please…
Happy weekend.
